WHAT? If it’s not health care, what is it?

The “Health Care” model gives a product or service to solve a health problem.

When the health problem is solved, the patient leaves satisfied.
This is the problem with how chiropractors communicate and “educate” patients about chiropractic.

It helps eliminate conditions like back pain, neck pain, headaches, and even health problems like asthma, colitis, allergies, spinal structural problems, and much more.

The patient gets their spine fixed, the health problems go away and we “HOPE” they understand they should use this for life.
In truth, Chiropractic is not just “health care.” Chiropractic is a “Health Care LIFESTYLE!”

This is MUCH different than “health care.”

Chiropractic is a LIFESTYLE of health care. In other words, it’s the primary means of taking care of your health FOR LIFE for the patient and everyone in their family.

Putting a patient on a spinal corrective program and observing their health problems resolve is merely repairing the damage to their health because they never used Chiropractic as a health care LIFESTYLE in their life. Now they have a new opportunity.

What is the difference between a 3% Chiropractor and a 97% Chiropractor?

The 97% may be successful, have a good life and will keep doing the same thing, even if they are not fulfilling their ultimate vision and purpose as a chiropractor.

This means they will TRY to get parents to bring their kids. While parents will, many won’t.

The 97% will not pursue it because they don’t know how.

The 97% want the majority of their patients to LIVE chiropractic, but many won’t, yet they keep doing the same communication strategy “hoping” more will “get it.”

The 3% DON’T SETTLE.

They are more convicted to fulfill their purpose and will adapt their strategy, or find a leader that will show them how to get the majority to LIVE Chiropractic.

The 3% keeps evolving as a person, their team and their patients.
The 97% build a practice and a business that may give them the life they want. They love their patients and focus on themselves and the life they have created.

The 3% focus on the life they create for THEIR PATIENTS! Because of this, they have longer commitments to care, a higher PVA, more family members under care and create a better life for their own family.

The 97% build a practice because they use “patient education.”

The 3% build a Legacy that affects generations because they “Change Beliefs!”

If  your communication is not SIMPLE, most patients WON’T “Get It,” that is, live chiropractic as their primary health care for their family.

It doesn’t get any simpler than 3 words:

“Energy is health!”

You can say this a few different ways that patients will NEVER confuse.

“Health is energy!”

“Healing is energy!”

"Energy is healing!”

They ALL mean the same thing, even if it’s backwards, or sideways.

They are all irrefutable.

When they understand energy brings health,

Ask them, “When you came here, did you have a health problem or an energy problem?”

If they say health problem, say, You had a health condition that resulted in what kind of problem?”

They should say: "Energy problem.”

Then ask: “What can an M.D. do for an energy problem?”

If they say drugs, say: “That’s what they will do. But what can they do for an energy problem?”

“if an energy problem is the foundation of all health problems, where are you going to come for your primary health care for you and your family?”

They will say: “Right here doc!”

Then say: “OK, who in your family do want to bring in first?”

This works like clockwork.

If your goal is for the majority of your patients to embrace Chiropractic as their health-care lifestyle alongside their families, would you agree it's crucial to identify the factors influencing your effectiveness? Is this your primary mission as a chiropractor?

To gauge your effectiveness, start by objectively measuring your Patient Visit Average (P.V.A.). 

This numerical metric provides insight into your patients' perception of the information you're imparting. 

Essentially, your P.V.A. reflects how well you are conveying the principles of chiropractic as a lifestyle. 

Now, what stands out as the foremost factor influencing your P.V.A.? 

 "5 Doctor MINDSETS That Hinder the Creation of Lifestyle Patients: 

You believe you should focus on pain relief first, then talk about chiropractic health care – “Give them what they want, then tell them what they need.” 

Concentrating on the immediate impact of pain on their daily life right from Day 1. 

You are selling them a spinal corrective program – your goal is to fix their spinal structure. 

Decreasing visit frequency when patients are pain-free or solely based on symptomatology. 

Scaling back visits once patients exhibit physical strength improvements. 

There are additional mindsets that may impede your ability to cultivate more lifestyle patients. 

Let's briefly examine each one and understand how they contribute to a decline in lifestyle retention: 

1. By making pain a primary goal, you have already established a neuro-emotional connection with patients geared towards pain relief. It becomes challenging to rewire their perception for a new concept like healthcare when pain relief is deeply ingrained in their minds. 

2. Once they can perform the activities they desire, you solved their problem and emotional state. No problem, no patient. 

3. Correcting their spine may lead to patients quitting, especially when most quit before achieving full correction. Selling them a finite "program" implies an endpoint, and when the program ends, patient commitment ends. 

4. If you reduce visits after their symptoms disappear, it sends a conflicting message – your goal seems to be symptom relief, even if your intended message is broader. Actions speak louder than words, and patients often emulate what they observe. 

5. Long-term commitments are not built solely on physical capabilities. Chiropractic can swiftly restore strength, achieving the patient's initial goal. Again, you reached their goal. They are happy and they quit. 

These represent some of the most prevalent reasons patients discontinue care and fail to transition into lifestyle patients.

Many patients believe chiropractic is for their spine, but go to an MD for a health problem.

How do you know?


1. What medications are they currently on?

2. Do they call in sick and/or go to an MD?

3. Do they still take their kids to a pediatrician?

These questions are NOT meant to call you out, just to have you look accurately at how many patients have not quite yet adopted chiropractic as their primary health care for their families.

If you said Yes to any of these 3 questions, I have 3 principles that can change them on the spot.

1. What they DIDN’T know.

2. What the previous health care providers DIDN’T tell them.

3. What they DIDN’T do because of the first 2 Principles.

Let’s review WHY these are so powerful...

1. They DIDN’T know “The spine and nervous system is the foundation of life and health in the body.”

2. Their previous pain-based chiropractic DIDN’T tell them or didn’t even ask them about their health conditions. All they did was talk about their pain, while their subluxated spine and nervous system are breaking down making them sick. Their MD DIDN’T tell them the most common cause of their blood pressure problems, asthma, digestive problems were subluxations in their spine weakening the nerves to those organs. The MD’s just gave them drugs.

3. Because NONE of their previous providers NEVER told them, they DIDN’T take care of their spine and nervous system their whole life, which is how they ended up with their health conditions they are suffering from today.
When they understand these 3 Principles, there is ONLY 1 ANSWER…..chiropractic LIFESTYLE!

Use these 3 Principles in Day 1 & 2. Then ask them, “Can you see how chiropractic is a health care LIFESTYLE for you and your family?”

Then say, “How do you want to LIVE, and what do you want your health to be like for the rest of your life.”

There is a driving force controlling your practice that no management group has told you.

How do I know?

I know because NONE told me!
Why?

Most coaches don’t even know about it. How can they teach what they don’t know? When I finally became frustrated with their answers to every question was, “Know your scripts,” when I knew them verbatim, I figured out I could not get the answers I wanted from the coaches I hired.

I quickly discovered that my core values and standards were higher than my coaches. In order to meet those values and standards I had to create a system that didn’t exist in chiropractic.

This is the reason why I began to look outside chiropractic and started studying human behavior, how and why people make life-changing decisions in their life. I wanted to apply that psychology to inspire patients to LIVE chiropractic like I do. If I could learn to do that, I could make a HUGE impact, not just on that patient, but on their whole family and generations to come. That’s exactly what happened.

Now, today, and in the last 20 years I’ve been coaching, there is STILL no system in chiropractic similar to Elite Chiropractic Coaching and the “Secrets to the 7 Figure LIFESTYLE Practice,” our online coaching system.

How do I know that’s happened?

I have run into previous patients I haven’t seen in over 30 years and them and their family are still seeing chiropractors every week.

By the way, the “Secrets” are the human behavior communication and systems that help people make the LIFESTYLE of Chiropractic a “Belief” not just a program to relieve pain or even health.

“Beliefs” become hard-wired into their subconscious mind. Now chiropractic is a LIFESTYLE habit.

They don’t have to think about it. It’s their health care system. 

The standard in Elite is 90% of patients in LIFESTYLE care.

Culture.
To create a 90% LIFESTYLE Culture, everyone in your practice LIVING chiropractic because it’s a belief system to live their best life, you have a culture. A culture is an organization of people that share the same beliefs, language, act the same way, live the same way and have the same purpose, to grow the LIFESTYLE and culture to having more people. Does this sound like chiropractic?

PVA: Patient Visit Average.
The driving force of your practice is your PVA = Patient Visit Average = how many visits the average patient attends in your practice.

PVA is a MINDSET. The MINDSET of your patients determines how many visits they attend. The MINDSET of the doctor and Team determine the PVA/MINDSET of your patients. The doctor and team’s mindset are a result of how you teach your patients. If you want to increase your PVA, you must elevate YOUR MINDSET, so you can elevate your team and patient’s MINDSET.

This doesn’t mean you don’t understand or even live a chiropractic LIFESTYLE. It simply means you may not be communicating in a way that changes the “Beliefs” of your patients. It is critical to know that “information,” i.e. patient education, does NOT always change beliefs on a 90% level. That means you can move from giving information to learning how to create an “experience.” They can’t forget the experience because it wires into their subconscious mind. The information is automatic.

The mindset of the doctor determines how and what you say to your patients. A 40 PVA patient is VERY DIFFERENT in MINDSET compared to an 80-90 PVA patient, yet it is the doctor and team that created that patient. Your PVA is the general consciousness of your practice.

Social Proof.
The general consciousness also effects the Social Proof, the influence of the behavior of the group to affect the individual. A group consciousness will influence the behavior of the individual. A 40 PVA will tend to create patients that THINK like a 40 PVA. It will reproduce the same mindset in the patients.
An 80 PVA will tend to create MORE 80 PVA mindsets and patients. This is the effect and influence of social proof on individual patients that leads to the consciousness of the group.
To create a LIFESTYLE MINDSET, you must have a LIFESTYLE MINDSET in 90% of your patients. THIS is the “Secret” in the 7 figure LIFESTYLE Practice.”

Then listen to the MINDSET of the average patient and how they act. IN other words, listen to what they talk about, how well they keep their appointments, along with their excuses when they miss. This will reveal everything.

The Most Common Reason
MANY Practices Stay Stuck!

All day long I get calls from chiropractors who want to fulfill their purpose on a Higher level, they are successful but know there is more inside them and are tired of convincing patients to LIVE a chiropractic LIFESTYLE.

By the way, LIFESTYLE includes family members.


The most common reason you may be in the same volume range for years is because you are trying to “close” a patient. What’s that mean? It means you are trying to get 1 patient started in your care. You can’t build or grow significantly one-at-a-time.

Why? Because you always have patients reducing their frequency, or worse yet, quitting.

How do you solve this? The answer is SO SIMPLE. The Principle of chiropractic IS LIFESTYLE. How is their family LIVING?
Postural/subluxation patterns and health problems run in families. When you have a parent as a new patient, is your purpose to make that person a leader so their family members, and EVERY person in the future generations, LIVE a chiropractic
LIFESTYLE?

If yes, talk about the health and subluxation patterns they inherited from their parents and are also passing along to their kids. If you do this on Day 1, you will get the spouse to Day 2 because they now have a bigger reason, the health of their family.

When you show x-rays on Day 2, talk about the generational patterns and how you can identify them in their kids. Because of this, the spouse must get x-rayed to see if their patterns are spreading to their kids. This is LIFESTYLE from Day 1.

Are You Educating or Influencing?

We ALL believe patient education is the way to create LIFESTYLE patients.

Let me ask you a question:

“If patient education was the ultimate answer, wouldn’t 9 out of 10 bring in their kids and live the chiropractic LIFESTYLE?”

The answer is “education” doesn’t always motivate people.
You can give a person information and how they FEEL about that information will determine what they do.

We ALL know logic doesn’t always change the way a person wants to live.

If logic changes people’s consistently...

*Chiropractic would be ruling health care.

*Pharmaceutical companies would be out of business or restricted to crisis care.

*Every patient would bring in their kids as soon as you asked.

*No one would smoke, eat GMO foods, or be overweight.

What do you think about logic now?

The truth is, when you focus on changing a MINDSET, you focus on influencing people.

In other words, saying things that instantly changes their minds.

If you have to tell a patient the same thing 3 x’s, you just learned 3 ways to tell them the wrong thing that didn’t matter to them.

Instead, ask yourself, “What matters most to that person?”

Speak to what they value.

Different people value different things.

You shouldn’t give the same “education” to a stay at home mother of 3, as you would to a CEO, as you would to a 28 year old competitive athlete, even when ALL of them have kids.

RULE #1(in ALL communication): “Know your Audience!”

Different people have different values:

A mother of 3 values kids avoiding sickness, giving their kids every possibility to grow up with out suffering like they did.

A CEO values a standard of achievement, not being weak, mentally, emotionally or physically. They want their kids to be exceptional and successful.

A 28 year old competitive athlete LOVES being strong, better than the rest, top of their game and HATES weakness or injury. They will cross the world for an increase of 2% performance. They want their kids to be the same.

These are just a couple of examples how patient education many times is not specific enough for each person.

Know your audience and you will know EXACTLY how to speak to them. Speak to what they value and you will only have to ask 1 time.

3. We take care of families because our Purpose is the Principle and have as many families, including all children, as possible to LIVE chiropractic Principle as their primary health care.

5. We create leaders in our Team because our Purpose is for our team members create leaders in patients. We know they have to be leaders LIVING the Principle of Chiropractic to create leaders.

6. We see Chiropractic becoming our new health care system because our Purpose is to change humanity with the TRUTH of who we areas Innate Beings, the Principle of chiropractic.

8. We become a trained public speaker because our purpose is to teach people in groups, not just one on one. This is why we give workshops in our clinics and speak publicly in our communities.

9. We have unwavering daily rituals because we know we won’t fulfill our Purpose unless we operate at our best as often as possible, every day.

10.We have high standards to evolve spiritually because our Purpose and vision is so big we need to stay connected to Universal Intelligence to fulfill it.

#1 Question to Ask EVERY Patient!

EVERY Patient ONLY Has 1 Problem

Today’s Principle: “EVERY Patient ONLY has 1 Problem.”

This is a very simple and effective Mindset. It starts with, “The spine and nervous system is the foundation of health and life in the body.” The doctor, team and every patient MUST say this verbatim. This is chiropractic Principle and LIFESTYLE in a brief, succinct one-liner. Again, this is the foundation of LIFESTYLE.

Knowing that, the ONLY problem EVERY patient has is, “They DIDN’T LIVE a Chiropractic LIFESTYLE!”

They probably didn’t know they were suppose to live that way. It’s also the reason they are showing up to your office with several postural, structural weaknesses and multiple health problems. The ONLY cause is NOT their accidents and injuries. It’s the fact, they never repaired the damage from those injuries and lifestyle with chiropractic LIFESTYLE.

Your job is NOT to solve their health problems. Your job is to solve their LIFESTYLE. Their health is only the damage to their health that needs repair, so they can LIVE a different life WITH chiropractic.

When you only see this, you will think different things, say different things, teach different things and create a very different kind of patient.

Your chiropractic corrective programs are ONLY to repair the damage to their spine, nervous system and health.
